UPDATE at 3:20pm – The hold and secure at Franklin PS is lifted.
We appreciate the swift action of WRPS for keeping our school community safe.
UPDATE at 3:05pm – The hold and secure at Eastwood CI and Sunnyside PS is lifted. Franklin PS is still under a hold and secure at the direction of the police. We appreciate everyone’s patience as police protect our students and staff.
We want to thank WRPS for keeping our school community safe.
Eastwood Collegiate Institute, Sunnyside Public School and Franklin Public School have been placed into a hold and secure due to an ongoing police investigation in the area.
All students and staff are safe. We will update this web post, Twitter and Facebook as more details become available.
Dismissal time for Sunnyside Public School may be disrupted.
