Dear Parent/Guardian/IAP students,

We would like to thank all our students and families for their participation in the Integrated Arts Program this year.  It has certainly been an interesting time.  We would like to extend a particular thanks and congratulations to our graduates for all their efforts in the IAP over their time with us.  We wish them all the best as they continue their journey, and we remind them that they are welcome to stay in touch and to visit when they can.

We understand that this year was challenging on many levels, and while we are being lenient with some conditions of the program given the circumstances, we also want to remind our students of the requirements of the Codes of Ethics and Participation, which students signed when they entered the program and electronically sign every September.  The Codes are available on the school website if you wish to review them.

We recognize that the IAP is a demanding program, and for some students, this can create some real challenges.  It is our goal to have IAP graduates use the program to help them develop the work habits, resilience, and self-confidence to become successful contributors to their community, regardless of their involvement in the Arts after Eastwood.  For this reason, we offer a series of supports to ensure success for your student, including guidance counsellors, social workers, mental health supports, and connections to community agencies who provide additional programs.  Please reach out to your student’s teacher or guidance counsellor if they are struggling with any aspect of the program.  We encourage open communication with families, and we are happy to provide assistance as needed.

Lastly, despite the continuing uncertainty surrounding what our return to school will look like in the fall, we can assure you that we have a very caring  Eastwood teaching staff and administration, as well as a very passionate team of Integrated Arts Program teachers who are all working diligently together to ensure that students and their families will have the best experience possible within both the Integrated Arts Program and this amazing home that we call Eastwood.
