If you choose, I will communicate with you using a system called Remind.com. It will enable me to text or email you with updates about upcoming due dates and assignments.

The set up is simple. Choose whether you would like a text or an email update. Your son/daughter can confirm the code for you (which is also posted on the specific class page links).

1. To receive messages via text, text your child’s code to (226)241-9468. You can opt-out of messages at anytime by replying, ‘unsubscribe @rmd.at/[thecoursecode]’.

Google Apps For Education: 
I have created a Google Classroom that I will be using with the students to post resources, formative assessment like practice quizzes and post some assignments. Your child will receive to code to log in through their googleapps account. All assignments, resources, rubrics and study materials are posted. If your child is absent, encourage them to check it to stay up to date.

Instructions to log in to Google:
First time log in (or after a student has changed their password):

  • search google.wrdsb.ca in the top url box.
  • log in using your googleapps account (username@wrdsb.ca)
  • password: school password

On a chromebook (you must have previously logged in on a networked computer to activate your account):

  • log in using your googleapps account (username@wrdsb.ca)
  • password: school password

To use the Google Classroom

  • Be logged in using your student googleapps account.
  • Search google.classroom.com
  • Join the class using the code your teacher provided.
  • Here is a link to highlight how the Google Classroom can be used.
