Dear Eastwood Collegiate Institute parents, families, and caregivers

 

I am writing to you to make you aware of a situation that impacted our school today.

 

This morning, a plumbing issue caused flooding in the area of our cafeteria. Out of an abundance of caution, we also limited access to the first floor foyer and washrooms. In consultation with Facility Services staff, it was determined that it was safe for our school day to continue. 

 

Facility Services and contractors responded to our school and are working to address the issue, which includes thorough cleaning and sanitation of the impacted areas. 

 

As always, student safety is a top priority and we remain committed to supporting student achievement and well-being. We appreciate your support and understanding. We thank our Facility Services and contractors for working as quickly as possible to address the issue.
