How Does the Program Work?
As an IAP student, you will take a combination of Arts Specialization (Major) and Arts Exploration (Minor) courses across Grades 9–12.

Arts Specialization (Arts Major)

How to enter: Requires a successful audition upon application.

Class structure: Enhanced-level, congregated classes with fellow Arts Majors.

Focus: Designed as your primary area of focus at Eastwood, where you are encouraged to achieve at your highest potential.

Requirement: All IAP students must maintain at least one Arts Specialization course per year to remain in the program.

Arts Exploration (Arts Minor)

How to enter: No audition required; open to all Eastwood students.

Focus: Courses taken out of interest to broaden your overall artistic knowledge and experience.

Program Requirements
To Be Accepted into the IAP

Submit a completed IAP application by the deadline.

Audition successfully for at least one Arts Specialization (Arts Major) course.

Receive a positive character reference from a current teacher.

Be eligible to attend school in Ontario.

Be in good standing at your previous school (demonstrating good attendance, strong learning skills, and appropriate behavior).
To Remain in the Program in Good Standing

Maintain at least one Arts Specialization (Arts Major) course in Grades 9–12.

Adhere to the Code of Expectations for proper behavior and the Code of Participation.

Serve as a positive school citizen and ambassador by abiding by the Eastwood Code of Conduct.
To Earn the “IAP Arts Endorsement Certificate” at Graduation

Successfully complete eight (8) total arts courses, including at least one Grade 12 Arts Specialization (Arts Major).

Remain in the program in good standing through Grade 12 by upholding the Code of Conduct and Code of Participation.
