ECI is excited to welcome you to the 2026 – 2027 school year!

We are so excited to welcome you back to another exciting school year at Eastwood Collegiate Institute.

Our school has close to 1300 students and offers a wide range of academic and extracurricular opportunities.  We are known for our strong academics, provincially renowned arts program and thriving athletics programs. 

This year we will continue to focus on foundational literacy and numeracy skills, alongside Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and differentiation to make our instruction and assessment accessible to every learner.  We will also continue to foster a school culture centered around belonging, community, and high expectations for all students.

We look forward to welcoming all our ECI students next week and supporting them as they achieve their academic and extracurricular goals.

New ECI Student Open House 2026 – Tuesday, September 1st

New ECI students are invited to join us at our annual open house on Tuesday, September 1st between 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.  Students who attend will be able to pick up timetables and Chromebooks, join informal student led tours, and meet some ECI staff and student leaders. 

First Day Schedule 2026 – Tuesday, September 8th

The first day of classes on Tuesday, September 8th  will be a modified day to provide us the important opportunity to welcome our grade 9 students to ECI.  The goal of this modified day is to make sure that all grade 9 students feel safe and welcome and to ensure their transition to high school is positive.

We will resume a Regular Day Schedule on Wednesday, September 9th.  Please refer to our school website for our regular day schedule. 

Important Start Up Information for Parents and Caregivers

As part of the school year start-up, parents and caregivers are asked to review information to help students navigate the upcoming school year. Parents and Caregivers are encouraged to review all the important information here.

Student timetables (grades 9-12) will be emailed to student WRDSB email addresses this week.  Homeroom lists will also be posted in the 1st and 2nd floor hallways for the first day of school.
