All grads/families/guests attending commencement next Wednesday June 17th – please read!  There is very important information regarding arrival times and parking.

 If you have family/guests who have not yet purchased tickets, do so ASAP for best seating.  Tickets can be purchased at the door as well if there is availability. ONLINE TICKETS LINK HERE.

  • Families/guests should plan to arrive at the Centre in the Square as early as possible to allow time for parking/walking to the event (recommended by 6:00pm).
  • Since grads are required to arrive at 5:45pm,  this will allow adequate time for families to drop grads off at the Main Doors on Otto street and to find appropriate parking.
  • GRADS – MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR CAP, GOWN AND STOLE WITH YOU!  IF YOU FORGET WE WILL SEND YOU HOME TO GET IT!!
  • SHSM students are asked to get their stoles at 5:45 pm.  SHSM Graduates will have a photo taken at 6:15 pm, before marshalling.
  • There is a paid city lot next to the Centre in the Square (closest)   CITS PARKING INFO.
  • Other parking options are available in the area, but may require a slightly longer walk to the venue. Click the parking info link to figure out your plan.
  • We have been given permission to park at Suddaby Public School (171 Frederick St.) – a short walk
  • Guests can enter the building at 6:00 pm, doors to Auditorium open at 6:30pm 
  • The ceremony will start at 7:00pm SHARP!  Please arrive on time to avoid disappointment.
  • Grads will be on the stage facing the audience and must remain on stage in their seats for the duration of the ceremony.  Please plan accordingly.
  • Because you are on display, no phones or bags will be permitted.  We cannot store any personal items backstage during the event. Leave them with your family.
  • Be hydrated – no water bottles on stages
  • No chewing gum on stage due to Health and Safety Regulations

Accessibility Entrance to the Centre in The Square

Any guests who require access to an entrance door to support mobility and/or accessibility needs, please use the Ellen Street East entrance (road that runs behind the Centre in The Square). Guests can be dropped off at the ring road/drop off area where Centre in The Square staff will be there to assist.

IMPORTANT:  All grads must arrive at 5:45 pm @ Centre in the Square for Marshalling – DO NOT BE LATE!!
