The following is a message from Mr. Hume about Commencement  for our 2021 Grads:

Hello,

The following message contains information about our Commencement plans and how to best recognize the graduating class of 2021 given the circumstances.

While it certainly would have been preferable if we could all be together to share in this most important of secondary school celebrations, that is not possible due to Public Health restrictions.  However, we have planned to provide you with an online ceremony that recognizes the accomplishments of the graduates of 2021.   We have created a video presentation that we plan to air over the winter break from December 20 to January 03.  We are currently in the process of recording the video.

Further information about how and when to access the video will be sent directly to the email address your graduates have provided to us.  The video will require an access password so it is important that we have an email address for each graduate interested in this opportunity.  The questionnaire below can collect that information.

As well, graduates or their guardians are able to pick up their diplomas and awards here at Eastwood on December 14, 15 and 16 from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm.  During those days graduates are asked to use the stairs at the front of the school to come to the main entrance.  There will be staff there to greet you with your diploma and awards.  Please remember to wear a mask when you arrive.

Finally, we are wondering if you are interested in a Spring Homecoming Social.  We are hopeful that the Public Health restrictions will have eased by the spring of 2022.  We are interested in your feedback about a possible social event that allows you to visit with friends and staff.  Please take a moment to fill in the attached questionnaire.

As always Eastwood, take care of yourself and take care of each other.

Sincerely,

Mr. Hume
