Eastwood goes East!

Eastwood has received approval for our third ever trip to Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, for the annual Celtic Colours Festival in the fall of 2017. This festival takes place on the Thanksgiving weekend, and attracts performers from all over North America, as well as Ireland, Scotland, and beyond. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see world-class performances, as well as participate in workshops (performance-based and observational), travel with friends, and see a spectacular part of Canada! Cost of the trip (depending on number of students) is approximately $1,250. A fundraising opportunity with Stemmler’s Meats of Heidelberg is also happening for the remainder of May to help offset the cost.
There are only 40 spots available for this trip. First priority will be given to Music students, but all Eastwood students are welcome to attend. Please have your student see Ms. Hunsberger-Shortt (aka Hunsie) in the Music department for more information.
A parent meeting will be held next Thursday, May 18 at 7 pm in the Strings room (room 14).
